The Tunisian government plans to subscribe to the capital of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIBI), to the amount of 5 million dollars. The country has moreover obtained the approval of the parliament on Tuesday 11 February, according to information relayed by Financial Afrik.

According to the Tunisian Minister of Finance, Ridha Chalghoum, once Tunisia has acceded to the Asian bank’s round table, the country will benefit from its financing for the realization of infrastructure projects, including the construction of seaports, airports, railways and motorways.
