Togo: The government is preparing to provide 50 agricultural development zones (ZAAP) with agri-electricity infrastructure
This program, which is linked to the large-scale projects planned in the agricultural sector, currently concerns 13 prefectures in the central and northern regions of the country.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Agricultural Development has just launched a call for tenders open to all qualified service providers. In detail, 50 superstructures and 50 irrigation tanks will be erected on the selected sites. Bidders have until July 30 to apply.
As a reminder, the ZAAP were launched a few years ago to allow farmers to evolve in cooperative settings, improve their productivity, boost their yields and modernize national agriculture. Eventually, there will be 400 of them, spread over the territory, with one Zaap per canton.
