Rwanda: Inauguration of the FIFA Development Office in Kigali

The long-term development of football in East Africa took another important step forward with the inauguration of the FIFA Development Office in Kigali, Rwanda. The signing and opening ceremony was attended by FIFA President Gianni Infantino, Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Vincent Biruta, Sports Minister Aurore Mimosa Munyangaju, and the President of the Rwandan Football Federation (FERWAFA) Jean-Damascene Sekamana. Other football dignitaries were also present, including the President of the Central African Football Associations (CECAFA), Wallace Karia, Célestin Yanindji, President of the Central African Republic Football Federation, and the presidents of FOFA member associations in the region.
