Restitution of works of art to Africa The French parliament agree to return a saber to Senegal and statues to Benin

The return of the treasures kept at the Quai Branly and of the weapon belonging to the Army Museum to their country of origin was approved by 48 votes out of 50 by the parliamentarians. A “desire to renew and deepen the partnership between France and the African continent”, according to the Minister of Culture, Roselyne Bachelot.
