Morocco: Some 6,612 bankruptcies in 2020

According to Inforisk, some 6,612 companies have put the key under the doormat in 2020. Yet despite the pandemic, investigators note a decrease of 22% compared to 2019. Inforisk technically explains this decrease by continuous shutdown commercial courts from March to September 2020, between general confinement and judicial vacations, a more or less normal resumption of activity … To this must be added the exceptional measures of the State via the Covid Fund (35 billion dh ) and in the form of loans guaranteed by the State (Damane Oxygène then Damane Relance and TPE for 70 billion dh), carryovers of credits, deferrals of tax payments, CNSS indemnities, etc.
