Mali: Receipt of the first vaccines thanks to the Covax programme

On 5 March, Mali received 396,000 doses of Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine at Bamako airport. A first batch of more than 1.4 million doses is expected by the end of May 2021 thanks to Covax, a system created by the World Health Organisation (WHO) for the benefit of the poorest countries, for access to safe and effective vaccines.
