Legislative Mali elects its deputies
Malian voters went on 19 April to the second round of legislative elections. Aimed at renewing a parliament whose term was due to end in 2018, these elections have been held despite the jihadist threat, the coronavirus pandemic and the kidnapping of opposition leader Soumaïla Cissé, who was kidnapped on 25 March. The first provisional results are expected to be announced early this week.
