Mali: Government approves a BADEA loan

In council on 24 February 2021, the Malian government announced the adoption of draft texts relating to the ratification of a loan agreement signed in Khartoum and Bamako on 31 December 2020, between Mali and the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADE) of about 22.2 billion CFA francs (41.4 million USD). The loan is intended to finance the rehabilitation of the Sévaré-Boré section, which is an integral part of the Algiers-Lagos Trans-Saharan Railway, according to information relayed by Financial Afrik.
