Mali Launch of a tender for the construction of two mini solar power plants

The Malian Agency for the Development of Domestic Energy and Rural Electrification (Amader) has issued a call for tenders for the construction of two mini solar power plants in the localities of Saye and Sarro. The facilities, each with a capacity of 1.3 MW, will have an electrical storage system with a capacity of 1.5 MW. Their construction will benefit from the financial contribution of the Islamic Development Bank. The duration of the plants has been set at 12 months. Companies interested in the construction of this infrastructure will be able to submit their bids by October 15, 2019. The establishment of these solar power plants is part of Amader’s ambition to electrify 70 rural communities, using mini-grids powered by mini-solar power plants, with a total capacity of 4.83 MW. An initiative that will bring electricity to 31,000 rural households.
