Maghreb + 32 million inhabitants by 2050 (HCP)

The total population of the Maghreb countries could increase from 99.8 million in 2018 to 131.9 million in 2050, according to a study published by the 52nd issue of the “Cahiers du plan” of the High Commissioner for Planning (HCP). The population should thus gain more than 32 million inhabitants. Morocco and Algeria would continue to house 77.2% of the region’s population.
