Economic freedom, Mauritius ahead, Algeria down (Ranking)

The Heritage Foundation, a conservative American lobby, publishes a global “economic freedom”
ranking every year. The ranking is based on laws, government integrity, judicial effectiveness, taxes,
business, labor, and monetary freedom, and open market. Mauritius is the first African country (21st), then Rwanda (33rd). They are part of the”Mostly free” category. At the end of the ranking, we find Algeria (169th over 180), the DRC (162th), Congo (176th) in the “repressed” category.
