Ghana more than 57,000 direct jobs created under 1D1F

The Ghanaian government claims to have created more than 57,000 jobs thanks to its flagship program 1D1F (one district, one factory or a department, a factory). This was revealed by Trade and Industry Minister Alan Kyerematen during the Nation Building Updates in Accra.

Speaking on “Ghana’s Industrialization: One District One Business”, the Minister noted that “1D1F has, to date, created 18,811 direct jobs through 162 fully operational 1D1F businesses. 38,532 additional direct jobs are planned through these companies with 120,520 indirect jobs and 247,383 additional indirect jobs planned ”.
