Ghana: $1 billion from IMF to boost post-COVID-19 recovery

Ghana has received $1 billion in assistance from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to boost its post-COVID-19 economic recovery, the Ministry of Finance announced Friday in a statement.
The sum is part of the $650 billion package approved by the IMF to support economic recovery among its member states.
“The new allocation will help meet the country’s additional financing needs caused by the impact of the pandemic on government financing,” the ministry said.
