Gabon: At the end of his convalescence in Morocco, Ali Bongo returns to Libreville on March 23rd

After six months of convalescence in Morocco, the Gabonese president returned to Libreville on March 23rd.

“His Excellency, President of the Republic, Head of State Ali Bongo Ondimba, will leave Morocco to return to Gabon this Saturday, March 23, announced March 21 an official statement. His Excellency, the President of the Republic, Head of State, is delighted to return among his compatriots. He wishes to thank very warmly his brother, His Majesty the King of Morocco, Mohammed VI, for the quality of his welcome and the invaluable support provided throughout his stay in the Kingdom of Morocco, “said Ike Ngouoni Aila Oyouomi, the spokesman of the Gabonese presidency.

During his medical stay in Morocco, the Gabonese head of state made two short stays in Libreville where he was first on January 15 for the swearing in of the new government, and a second time on February 25 where he also received during an express stay, several heads of national institutions.
