Egypt: France commits to financing 3.8 billion euros of projects

The French Minister of Economy, Bruno Le Maire, signed this Sunday June 13 in Cairo agreements for the financing of several development projects in Egypt for an amount of 3.8 billion euros.

An intergovernmental agreement stipulates that France will finance on “preferential terms” several projects in Egypt via French companies to the tune of 1.8 billion euros.

The supply of trains and the construction of a new line for the Cairo metro, as well as 9 other projects will be financed by France.
