Economy: Sub-Saharan Africa to grow by 3 percent

The World Bank predicts the Sub-Saharan economy to grow by 3.3 percent after shrinking by 2 percent in 2020. The data was revealed in The Pulse, the World Bank’s twice-yearly economic update for the region that was published on October 6.

The economic growth will be fueled by elevated commodity prices, relaxation of stringent Covid-19 measures as well as recovery in global trade.
