Covid-19: A study conducted in 16 African countries to find treatments
African and European doctors and researchers are currently conducting a major study on the continent. This study will take place in thirteen African countries (DRC, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Ghana, Equatorial Guinea, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Uganda and Sudan). Its goal is to find treatments for so-called benign Covid-19 patients.
Anticov was launched last year, using hydroxychloroquine, before the WHO advised against this treatment. It is now continuing with other drugs.
