Cameroon € 225.4 million for the interconnection of its electricity network with Chad (BAD)

Cameroonian Head of State Paul Biya published two decrees on March 17, empowering the Minister of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development to sign with the African Development Bank (AfDB) group two loan agreements with a total value of 225.4 million euros (225,406,300 EUR precisely) for the partial financing of the Electricity Interconnection Project in Cameroon and Chad.

The first decree concerns the authorization for Minepat to sign a loan agreement of 217.9 million euros with the AfDB, and the second a loan agreement of 6 million units of account (around 7,506,300 euros) with the African Development Fund (an entity of the AfDB).
