Le Burkina Faso et la Banque mondiale ont signé un accord de financement de 76 millions euros destiné au renforcement des filets-sociaux dans ce pays de l’Afrique de l’Ouest.

Burkina Faso and the World Bank signed a € 76 million financing agreement to strengthen social safety nets in this West African country. This agreement, signed on Wednesday in Ouagadougou, by the Burkina Faso Minister of Economy, Finance and Development, Lassané Kaboré and the representative of the WB in Burkina Faso, Cheick Kanté, relates to the second additional financing of the project social nets, whose objective is to increase the access of poor and vulnerable households to social safety nets. According to Mr. Kanté, relayed Thursday by Ouagalese media, this funding is a contribution of the WB to the implementation of the vision of the Burkinabe government to extend, on the one hand, the actions of the project nets-social to all country, and to respond appropriately to the needs of refugees and host communities. The first phase of the project involved 101,600 people from 66 municipalities.
