Benin: UEMOA extols the progress of economic governance
A mission of the Commission of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) led by its President Abdallah BOUREÏMA presented, on February 5th , to the Office of the President of the Republic, Patrice TALON, its report.
In terms of economic governance, Benin recorded a jump of 20 points between 2017 and 2018, with 83% of reforms implemented. A remarkable performance described as a very important leap by the chairman of the UEMOA commission. These positive developments have had important impacts first of all on the level of economic growth. It goes from 4% to 6.8% in 2018, and for a forecast of 7.6% in 2019.
