ADB Central Africa office moves to Yaounde
The Cameroonian capital, Yaounde, will house the African Development Bank (AfDB) regional office for Central Africa, said AfDB Vice President Khaled Sherif. The choice of Cameroon is explained by the fact that this country is distinguished by “the greatest economic growth” in the sub-region, he said to the press after being received by the Cameroonian Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute in Yaounde. Cameroon serves as an example for the countries of the subregion, particularly in terms of industrialization and electrification, and shares with the AfDB the same vision to improve the living conditions of the African people, he said.
