Algeria 2 years after Hirak, new demonstrations resume in spite of an important police mechanism

Algerian students have resumed their protest movement in Algiers and other cities in their country.

Main demands expressed through the slogans chanted by the young demonstrators on Tuesday, February 23: the democratization of the country, the end of the “military state” and the hegemony of the “Gang” (Al 3issaba) on power.

Faced with the police who tried to disperse them with truncheons, the students repeated in chorus: “Students not terrorists”.
