Air Royal Air Maroc opens a second link to Istanbul

The airline Royal Air Maroc will launch next week a new link between Casablanca and Istanbul-Sabiha Gokcen airport, adding to that to the new airport of the Turkish economic capital, Air Journal announces. From 22 June 2019, the Turkish national airline offers a daily flight between its base in Casablanca-Mohammed V and the second airport in Istanbul (SAW), operated by Boeing 737-800 for 12 passengers in Business class and 159 in Economy. Departures are scheduled at 7:55 or 8:00 to arrive at 14:35 or 14:40; return flights leave Turkey at 15:40 to land at 18:40 (flight time 4h40 one way, 5:00 return). The company that will join the Oneworld alliance already offers two daily rotations to the new Istanbul Airport (IST); competition between the two cities comes from Turkish Airlines, Corendon Airlines and low cost Air Arabia Morocco and Pegasus Airlines (as of July 8 in the latter case). Recall that Royal Air Maroc also inaugurates next week a new route to Boston, its fourth destination in the United States, having launched in April flights to Athens and Miami, as well as to Vienna and Amman.
