Air: The Greek airline Aegean Airlines launches 3 new destinations, Casablanca, Marrakech and Tunis
The Greek airline Aegean Airlines will launch this year eight new destinations, including three in North Africa, Casablanca, Marrakech and Tunis, according to information relayed by Air Journal.
The international supply of the Greek national airline will increase by 700,000 seats this year to reach 10.3 million seats – and 17.7 million domestic routes included. From its base in Athens-Elefterios Venizelos, it will offer from April 16th , 2018 two flights per week to Marrakech-Menara, operated by Airbus A320 that can accommodate 12 passengers in Business class and 162 in Economy. Departures are scheduled Tuesday and Saturday at 21:45 (arrival the next day at 0:15), return flights leaving Morocco Wednesday and Sunday at 1:05 (arrival at 7:25). Aegean Airlines will be without competition on this route.
Starting April 18th , the Star Alliance airline will offer a rotation every Thursday between Athens and Casablanca-Mohammed V, its A320 taking off at 22:05 (arriving the next day at 0:25) and leaving Friday at 1:05 (arrival at 7:15). Aegean Airlines will compete on this route with Royal Air Maroc, which will inaugurate it on April 2nd.
The Tunis-Carthage airport will host the A320s of the Greek company from June 15th with two weekly rotations without competition: the flights will leave Athens Tuesday and Saturday at 23:45 (arrival at 23:59), and will leave Tunisia Wednesday and Sunday at 1:30 (arrived at 5:40)..
