Ivory Coast: Bernard Kouchner at the inauguration of the Bank of Abidjan (BDA)

The inauguration of the Bank of Abidjan (BDA) took place on the 5th of September, in the presence of Ivorian Prime Minister, Amadou Gon Coulibaly, and former French Foreign Minister, Bernard Kouchner, on behalf of the investors of the new bank.

Approved  in the beginning of 2017, BDA, with a capital of “25 billion CFA francs”, is a subsidiary company of the Ivorian Finance Holding Company (SIF), created by the Post of Ivory Coast (20% of the capital) and  the BDK Group (80%), born in Senegal with the mission of carrying financial projects in the WAEMU zone.

The new institution intends to deploy through the network of 200 agencies of  the Ivorian Post, 32 branches that are expected to be opened throughout the country by the end of 2017. The target  will be large companies and high-end clientele.

With the BDA, Ivory Coast has now 28 banking institutions.
