Vodafone Cameroon out of service

Antoine Pamboro, CEO of  Vodafone Cameroon signed on Friday, September 14th , a press release confirming the shutdown of the company’s activities. The suspension of the Internet service provider is a decision of the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications of Cameroon, who asked the Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (ART) to withdraw the exploitation title issued to Northwave Sarl. This transitional title allowed Afrimax Group to absorb this Cameroonian company to create the FAI Vodafone Cameroon. “Every effort is being made to restore the service as soon as possible,” reassured the CEO. Especially since the company has donated 3 billion CFA to the State of Cameroon, of which 2 billion to the titles of duties and taxes and 1 billion to the cost of regulation.
